Special Order Policy

We can and will special order anything! In the 46 years that we have been in the hardware business we have ordered many unusual and unique items for our customers. These policies have been developed and refined over time and are intended to help our customers as much as us. We have access to many, many products that we don't carry in inventory, but are readily and easily available. Please call us if you can't find something, or just want to keep someone else honest. We wholeheartedly want to serve your needs!

In order to prevent errors and mistakes:

1. Any licenses, delivery charges and special fees related to a special order must be paid for at time of order.
   
   
2. A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required at time of order. The balance will be due upon delivery.
   
   
3. Returns of Special Order merchandise for reasons other than defects are not guaranteed, and may not be accepted without a return charge.
   
   
4. Please plan for adequate lead time from the manufacturer when placing special orders. We can and do expedite orders, but manufacturer supply times are many times completely beyond our control.

Returned Merchandise

Your satisfaction is our goal. All material submitted for return must be in first-class, salable condition, subject to our inspection and should include our receipt/invoice number and date. Any material returned as a result of a customer error is subject to restocking and transportation charges. Custom-ordered or cut merchandise is not returnable. In some instances we may issue store credit in lieu of cash. No returns will be accepted after 30 days.

Warranty

Cox Hardware, Inc. does not make any stated or implied warrantee on any of the products offered for sale, other than those offered by each individual manufacturer. We will not be responsible for claims beyond the replacement value of any defective goods or in any way liable or responsible for damages of any kind whatsoever which may result from the use of this catalog or products listed therein including strengths, working loads, etc., which was compiled from manufacturer's data and printed solely for the convenience of our customers; nor do we warrant the fitness of any item described herein for any particular use. Selection of items for a particular use is at the sole discretion of the purchaser.
