Shipping Policy
Our Shipping Goals:
- To ship the correct product to the correct address within 1 business day of receipt
- To have shipped products arrive undamaged and in first-class condition
- To extend our store right to your home or business
Our Package Shipping (UPS) Guidelines:
- We will bill your credit card at time of shipment, not when we receive the order
- Usually, orders received by 11 am CST will go out the same day, otherwise the following day.
- We will hold all orders for shipping complete unless instructed otherwise. That is, if you order 10 different items we will normally hold the order until we can ship all 10 of them at the same time.
- Most of our items do not have the correct weight listed, which means that until we fix all 30,000 of them our web site will be providing incorrect shipping estimates. We're sorry, but this means that WE WILL USUALLY HAVE TO RECALUCULATE THE SHIPPING FEE AFTER WE RECEIVE THE ORDER. We will contact you for approval of the corrected shipping fees before we ship the product and charge your credit card. This is in no way an attempt to mislead or misrepresent our company. If you do not agree with the recalculated shipping fee you may cancel the order with no penalty or charge.
- There are many products listed on our web site that we will not (or cannot) ship via UPS. This would include most lumber and plywood, concrete steps, hazardous products and chemicals (as defined by UPS), perishable products, and some paint products. If you happen to order one of these products and request UPS shipment we will have to decline that part of the order. If this occurs and you decide to cancel the remaining order there is no penalty or charge.
- INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: For international shipments please provide us with the name of your freight forwarding agency or preferred shipper. We retain the right to refuse an order due to shipping complexity.
- Remember that UPS will not ship to a PO Box address. We must have a physical address.
- There will be an additional charge for items being sent to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, APO boxes, or internationally.
- We have the right to refuse any order for any reason at any time.
Expectations You Should Have of Our Delivery Service:
- Every order is important to us, because it's important to you.
- We will deliver your order as soon as we can within the guidelines listed above. However, any times given should be considered good-faith estimates and are not promises or guarantees.
- We will attempt to ship orders within 1 business day of receipt.
- We will attempt to earn your repeat business every time we serve you.
We reserve the right to change this policy without notice.
Returned Merchandise
All material submitted for return must be in first-class, salable condition, subject to our inspection and should include a copy of the original invoice. Custom-ordered or cut merchandise is not returnable. In some instances we may issue store credit in lieu of a credit card refund. No returns will be accepted after 30 days.
Warranty
Cox Hardware, Inc. does not make any stated or implied warranty on any products offered for sale, other than those offered by each individual manufacturer. We will not be responsible for claims beyond the replacement value of any defective goods or in any way liable or responsible for damages of any kind whatsoever which may result from the use of products, goods or services obtained from our store, web site, delivery service, or otherwise obtained. We do not warrant the fitness of any item described or purchased to be for any particular use. Selection of items for a particular use is at the sole discretion of the purchaser. Improper use of some of the products we sell may cause serious bodily harm, injury, or even death. Always wear proper safety equipment and observe safe usage and operating procedures.
